Summer’s here, and so is the blazing glare of the sun! Cruising through this hot weather is no easy task, but thankfully, we have the cold stuff which helps you cool down! And what’s better than gorging on the cold desserts which not only keep your cool but also make sure you have enough glucose that will help you beat the summer blues! SO here we go, with our favorite cold dessert recipes which even you would love to try out!
- Honeyed peach and blueberry popsicles:
How about mixing some readily available ingredients – pureed peaches, water, honey, salt and a pint of blueberries? Freeze them either in ice cube trays or if available popsicle molds – you’re good to go! - Maple walnut ice cream:
It’s easy – make sure you go with how you’d make ice cream- and just add generous amounts of pure maple syrup to the mixture before freezing it! Chopped walnuts and maple sugar flakes work wonders for the garnishing! - Green smoothie:
How about bring in the greens – lettuce and spinach to be specific, and blend them with some berries and other fruits to bring in a dash of sweetness? Drink it chilled – an excellent health drink!
- Chillers:
A super quick drink to make, all you got to do is mix a cup of sugar with two cups of water. Mix till it completely dissolves and add the flavor you love – blend this at high speed with two cups of ice and ta-da! Your chiller is ready! - Oreo ice cream sandwich:
Open up an oreo and add a dollop of your favorite ice cream in between the two parts! And easy to make a quick dessert that everyone just loves! - Fresh fruit popsicles:
Why blend when you can have fun eating them whole? Chop colorful fruits, add a bit of water and sugar(if you wish to) and freeze this mixture in popsicle moulds-You’ll have the prettiest looking popsicles!
- Frozen yogurt:
Eat it frozen off the shelf, and if you need to add a dash of flavor to it, freshly chopped fruits go perfectly well with the yogurt! Add fruits you love and have fun eating this healthy snack! - Greek yogurt berry pops:
Blend two main ingredients – greek yogurt and berries of your choice and freeze them! Your healthy, sugar-free pops are all ready! - Brownie ice cream cake:
All you got to do is layer these ingredients –brownie at the base, next comes ice cream, then there’s fudge, and then ice cream – all of it topped with whipped cream! And yes, don’t forget to freeze it! - Cookie dough pops:
Shape up the no-bake cookie dough and freeze it – garnish it with whatever you wish to and voila – you have a kid’s favorite dessert right there!
